The Palouse is a magical area that can be explored and embraced. Rolling hills with no fences and then all of a sudden you drop into a canyon. One of the reasons it is so unique is because it is the only large area of farmland that I know of in the United States that has no fences. It gives you some idea of what it was like to live with your neighbor and not have a fence.
